Free anti-rabies vaccinations in Ermelo and Wesselton

The vaccinations will be done in Wesselton on Tuesday, 13 October and Wednesday, 14 October.

Anti-rabies vaccinations for dogs and cats will be done at Ermelo Civic Centre on Monday, 12 October from 10am to 5pm.

The vaccinations will be done in Wesselton on Tuesday, 13 October and Wednesday, 14 October.

Venues for Wesselton will be announced through loudhailers.

Rabies is a viral disease that causes acute inflammation of the brain in warm-blooded animals.

It is transmitted by animals, most commonly by a bite from an infected animal, but occasionally by other forms of contact.

The virus is shed in the saliva of the infected animal.

The vaccinations are free of charge, and compulsory by law.
