Mr Roelof Ferreira, principal of Laerskool Ermelo wrote a season greetings message in which he wished everyone a blessed festive season.

Mr Ferreira said: “It is hard to believe that the festive season is once again upon us!”

“Every year we say the year has flown by, but this year with Covid-19 and the challenges it posed, the year was over in the blink of an eye.”

Laerskool Ermelo experienced a blessed year.

He said, with the grace of God, we were able to reach exceptional achievements in various fields.

The school’s staff room was expanded, the entire admin block was renovated, the school governing body (SGB), school management team (SMT) and teachers handled the challenges that Covid-19 presented, exceptionally.

With hard work they managed to get everything in place to welcome back learners to the school after the lockdown period.
