Ermelo’s Grade 12 learners of 2020 share insight into how their final year went

Coetzee added Covid-19 effected his final year at school and definitely made it a tough one.

The Highvelder asked Grade 12 learners of 2020 how their final year amid 2020 was and this is what they had to say:

Michelle van der Linde of Ligbron Academy of Technology, said: “My journey as a learner at Ligbron began in Grade 8.

“My final year was difficult in terms of preparation due the Covid-19 pandemic that hit our country.

“Our final exam was a lot easier than I had expected. The record exam was the toughest.

“I don’t think I obtained the marks I wished for but I do believe I did well.”

Chad Coetzee of Ermelo High School, said: “My journey at Ermelo High School has been great and memorable.”

Coetzee added Covid-19 effected his final year at school and definitely made it a tough one.

He said the record exams was not that bad, but he studied harder for the finals and he believes he did well.

“I would like to personally thank Mr Estian for the five wonderful years.

“I’ve learnt a lot from him and he gave guidance for which I will forever be grateful for.”

He concluded, the best part of 2020 was when Dorpshuis won at the “groenjies”, it is a memory he will never forget.

Mike Ludick, 2020 matriculant of Ligbron Academy of Technology, stated that he studied hard for this final exam as record exams seemed easier.
