HIGHVELD – Entries are now open for the 41st Eskom Expo for Young Scientists that will be taking place this year.
The Eskom Expo for Young Scientists is open to all schools.
The Eskom Expo for Young Scientists is an expo where pupils can show others their projects and their own scientific investigations.
These projects are also presented to a panel of judges.
Selected students from 35 Expo Regions in South Africa then compete against the best young scientists from around the country and the world.
Winners from the groups who have submitted their projects will go through to the ISF International Fair which will be held in Berchwood from 4 to 8 October.
Here winners could stand a chance of winning bursaries, prize money, medals and trophies.
There is a lot of success stories of young scientist excelling from these Expo’s, seeing those obtaining bursaries to study abroad.
Because of Covid -19 regulations entries this year will be submitted online.
Closing date for submission of documents is 20 to 30 July.
Judging of the projects will begin on 1 August.
The provincial awards function will be held on 28 August.
