SECUNDA – Managers of Govan Mbeki Municipality had to sign the performance agreements for Section 56/57 for the 2021/2022 financial year as prescribed in terms of legislation.
These performance agreements have to be signed annually before the end of July as legislation prescribed.
The managers who signed the performance agreements are Ms Elizabeth Kotishana Tshabalala (acting municipal manager), Ms Vukosi Nkhata (acting chief financial officer), Mr Themba Moses Gininda (director: Corporate Services), Mr Tshepiso Joel Maphuthu (director: Technical Services), Mr Hendrik van der Merwe (acting director: Community Services) and Mr Sabelo Vilakazi (acting director: Planning and Development).
“The municipal manager is required to sign a performance agreement with all directors, which includes a performance plan for each financial year,” said Mr Donald Green, acting head for communications.
He said that performance plan sets out the performance objectives and targets that must be met by management, as well as the time frames within which those performance objectives and targets must be met.
