ERMELO – Ermelo English Primary School (EEPS) hosted a Blikkies Bonanza raffle which learners participated in recently.

Learners had to donate canned food and sell raffle tickets at R2 per ticket.

Residents who bought raffle tickets were entered into a lucky draw and would win a trolley full of canned food.

“Our school received so many canned food that we managed to fill two trolleys,” Ms Marinda Kriel, principal of EEPS, said.

The lucky draw was held on September 6 and the winners were Mr S Gbenle and Mr V Mabuza. Hope Nzimande (Gr 4) sold the most raffle tickets and received a smart watch that was sponsored by Ermelo Top Carpets and Blinds.
