Sifiso Siphamandla takes first position at parkrun in Standerton
A first-timer, Omran Marzugi, took third position in 26 min 30 sec.
A total of 63 participants took on a wet 5km route at the Standerton River Park on Saturday, January 29.
This free event had 13 volunteers facilitating a safe distance.
Sifiso Siphamandla ended first in a time of 18 min 06 sec, followed by an athlete who has not registered yet.
A first-timer, Omran Marzugi, took third position in 26 min 30 sec.
Waldemar Heinz ended in sixth position in a personal best time of 19 min 35 sec.
Run director, Lizette Jansen van Rensburg, handled the customary precautions and the runners and walkers were out of the blocks at 8:00.
Charl van Wyk, Ishara Pillay, Jennifer Naidoo, Krishnalal Ramdharee, Patricia Mudau, Priscilla Ramdharee, Ronnie Moodley, Ruwan Vermaak, Séan Jansen van Rensburg, Theo Schönfeldt,
Thikolelwi Mudau and Vanita Moodley were on hand at their different posts.
