Enpower Machite has begun the rollout of a metering project to connect and reconnect split pre-paid meters in all of Bethal and eMzinoni households in collaboration with GMM.
There had been a delay in the project primarily due to a lack of available households.
The metering project began in Zone 1 – New Bethal.
Meter replacement and installation in affected areas takes place daily on Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 19:00, and weekends between 09:00 and 17:00 until further notice.
The goal of this project is to legally connect all Bethal and eMzinoni residents to the electricity grid in order to meet all Bethal and eMzinoni residents’ sustainability needs and to enable GMM to collect revenue.
Customers who will be unavailable during these times should call Enpower Machite on 087 550 0765 to schedule an appointment for when they will be available.
Customers can also get in touch with Sinethemba Mbatha on 017 624 2007 or visit the GMM Technical Office.
