“This further serves as a warning to local business owners who do not comply with instructions,” Capt Gertzen concluded.

A 26-year-old man was arrested and detained on Tuesday, March 17 after he failed to apply for a business license and allegedly ignored previous fines issued to him.
“The suspect’s premise was visited several times and he was issued with notices and fines by the Tshwane Metro Police as well as the health inspectors, yet he failed to comply with regulations,” said Capt Christiaan Gertzen, acting station commander at the Cullinan Police.
At the time of going to print, the suspect was to appear in the Cullinan Magistrate’s Court, facing a charge of operating a business without a license.
“We appreciate members of the Metro Police and other police members for their continuous law enforcement initiative.
“This further serves as a warning to local business owners who do not comply with instructions. You do not have a place in the Cullinan policing area,” Capt Gertzen concluded.
