Extension of working hours in Standerton for licences

Motorists are therefore requested to adhere to the new, allocated, working times so that they do not miss this opportunity.

Driver Learner Testing Centres (DLTCs) will extend their working hours.

According to a press statement of Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison, dated April 8, its Transport Administration and

Licensing Section, which handles the issuing and renewal of driving licences, licence discs, vehicle testing and others, will be working extra hours in eleven centres in the province.

This follows the announcement that the holders of driving licenses that expired during lockdown have until April 15 to renew such licences.

“There is a considerable backlog of expired driving licences because of the pandemic,” the statement read.

Motorists are therefore requested to adhere to the new, allocated working times so that they do not miss this opportunity.

It is important for every vehicle owner to visit their nearest DLTC to renew their licences.

The centres’ operating hours are:

Monday to Friday: 8:00–18:00 and Saturday: 8:00–14:00 until May 3.

The arrangement applies to Secunda and Standerton.
