AfriForum’s Teks Neighbourhood Watch will use drone to combat crime in Secunda-area

“This is a big step for our neighbourhood watch and we are excited to further secure our community,” said Jan du Plessis, chairperson of Teks AfriFourm.

AfriForum’s Teks neighbourhood watch, which covers the Trichardt, Evander, Kinross and Secunda areas, is boasting a new drone and two members who are now qualified to fly drones.

Drones have been used with great success during neighbourhood watch activities.

They are used to help secure and support the community and local police in combating crimes.

AfriForum’s Jan du Plessis and Ebert Myburgh are certified to fly drones after attending training on how to man a drone.

“This is a big step for our neighbourhood watch and we are excited to further secure our community,” said Jan du Plessis, chairperson of Teks AfriFourm.
