Evander High School comes out tops in sports day played against WHS

Both first teams did exceptionally well with EHS’s first-team boys beating WHS 6-0 in hockey.

The sports field and courts were abuzz with chants and cheers when Evander High School (EHS) hosted a sports day against Witbank High School (WHS) on Saturday, April 23.

Athletes competed in netball, hockey and rugby.

Hockey: The U/16 girls beat WHS 7-0, while the U/16 boys played WHS’s U/15 girls and won the match 12-1.

Both first teams did exceptionally well with EHS’s first-team boys beating WHS 6-0.

EHS girls first team claimed their victory against WHS 5-0.

Rugby: EHS U/15 boys played WHS and beat them 14-10, while the U/16 boys thrashed WHS 32-7.

Netball: On the courts, the U/15 girls beat WHS 9-3.

EHS U/16 girls secured their win of 12-7.
