Delmas Police confiscate drugs
On the day in question at about 03:30, the men and women in Blue raided at the said house where they found the suspect in possession of alleged illegal substances.
The Provincial Commissioner of the police in Mpumalanga, Lieut-Gen Semakaleng Daphney Manamela has continued to commend police members for their resilience in the battle against crime.
“These efforts somehow contribute positively in winning back public trust,” said Manamela.
This comes after a drug bust by police whereby a 26-year-old man was arrested after he was found in possession of a large volume of alleged drugs.
According to a media statement issued on May, 20 the Delmas Police were notified by concerned citizens about drug peddling in Ekanini Section in Botleng, Delmas.
As the Delmas Police vowed not to allow such acts to be carried out in their precinct, they sought for a search warrant. The warrant was granted hereafter they carefully planned and executed a sting plan.

The substances confiscated included 26 sachets of alleged heroine, 21 bags containing suspected rock cocaine, another four small bags containing dagga weighing about 172,4 grams of dagga as well as R435 cash.
Manamela further expressed her contentment in the pace in which police in the province are moving in the battle against substance abuse as well as the circulation of drugs in the society.
“If we can continue like this, we are confident that communities will continuously support our efforts of fighting crime. On the same tone, we are so appreciative to the public for the information they provided us with, which resulted in this commendable success.”
