EHS dancers advance to inter-provincial

The dancers did exceptionally well and will now advance to the inter-provincial tournament where they will receive their Mpumalanga colours.

Evander High School’s dancers competed in the inter-district tournament held at Highveld Park High School on Saturday, May 21.

The dancers did exceptionally well and will now advance to the inter-provincial tournament where they will receive their Mpumalanga colours.

They are Shaun Moloka, Blessing Khoza, Muzi Mnisi, Praise Hwami, Liyema Madywati and Mathapelo Mofoka.

In other school news, EHS excelled in various sporting events held over the past week.

The first team hockey boys played HPHS on Wednesday, May 18, and beat them 5-0.

The first team soccer boys also did exceptionally well in their match against HPHS, also beating them 5-2.

A sports day was held at EHS on Thursday, May 19, against Kriel.

The U/15 netball girls beat Kriel 15-3, while the U/16 girls also claimed their victory of 11-3 against Kriel.

The U/16 hockey girls won their match 2-0. The first team walked away with a win of 3-1.

On the rugby field, the U/15 won 31-12 against Kriel.

The U/18’ sevens won their match with a final score of 17-12

EHS’s first-team soccer boys also won their match against Kriel with a score of 2-1.
