Dance learners competed in the Solo Dance Schoolsport Inter-District Tournament at Highveld Park High School on Saturday, May 21.
Rhythm and Movement Girls U/16: First place went to Unakho Mbuce, followed by second-place Johanna Manamela and third Chanise Vermaak.
Rhythm and Movement Girls U/14: First place was awarded to Cherize Powell with Praise Hwami in second place and third Liyema Madywati.
Rhythm and Movement Girls U/18: First place was claimed by Diane Van Rooyen, with Pabalelo Matsemela placed second and in third place was Olwethu Dhlamini.
Rhythm and Movement Boys U/16: Conrad Powell took the first place position followed by second-place Fortune Makhurupetsi and third Cisco Matchaya.
Rhythm and Movement Open Boys: First place went to Shaun Maloka, followed by Ntokozo Simalane in second place and Aneasu Henry Cikerema in third.
Rhythm and Movement Open Girls: Danieka De Castro claimed her first-place victory in this category followed by second-place Mia Hodsdon Hoare and third place Jemma Laubscher.
Street Girls U/16: In first place was Mia Hodsdon-Hoare, with second place awarded to Johanna Manamela and third place went to Unakho Mbuce.
Street Girls U/14: First place was Liyema Madywati, with Cherize Powell in second and third was Praise Hwami.
Street Open Girls: In first place was Ntokozo Mathabula, followed by second-place Diane Van Rooye and third place Matphelo Mofoka.
Street Boys U/16: First place was Musi Mnisi with Conrad Powell in second and third Cisco Matchaya.
Street Open Boys: Coming in the first place was Ntokozo Simalane, Shaun Maloka in second and in third was Belissing Khoza.
Rhythm and Movement U/11 Girls: First place was awarded to Omwabile Mafuso, with Nadlo Maseko in second, followed by third-place Zeldine Coetzee.
Rhythm and Movement U/13 Girls: Xandely Steyn claimed first place victory followed by second-place Naledi Mokena and third Atlegang Sello.
Rhythm and Movement U/7 Girls: In first place was Zinade Khulamo, with second place going to Mpumi Nkosi and third Larain Van Zyl.
Rhythm and Movement U/9 Girls: First was Olwethu Mazabane, followed by second-place Tshiamo Mokone and third Kirsten Van Rensburg.
Rhythm and Movement U/13 Boys: Claiming his first place spot was Yeshen Govender, with Gabriel Delgado coming in second and third place going to Corne Olivier.
Rhythm and Movement U/9 Boys: Waldt Van Niekerk came in first place followed by second-place Tebogo Sombane and third Kaone Tshabane.
Street U/11 Girls: Nadlo Maseko took first place, second place went to Omwabile Mafuso and third Lianke Obermeyer.
Street U/13 Girls: First place went to Zumkhitha Moathodi followed by second-place Atlegang Sello and third Xandely Steyn.
Street U/7 Girls: Amily Obermeyer claimed her first-place victory with Onalenna Tire coming in second and third Zinade Khulamo.
Street U/9 Girls: First place was awarded to Kirsten Van Rensburg, followed by second-place Olwethu Mazabane and third Tshiamo Mokone.
Street U/9 Boys: Again claiming a first place was Waldt Van Niekerk, he was followed by second place Tebogo Sombane and third Jan-Roux Jansen Van Vuuren.
Street U/13 Boys: Yeshen Govender came in first place with Gabriel Delgado in second and third place awarded to Champion Makofane.
Congratulations to all the dancers who competed in this tournament and who qualified for the Mpumalanga team that is going through to Nationals.
