Parkrunners take part in Secunda Parkrun #321
Ettienne Kotze is congratulated on joining club 250. He is the fifth person from Secunda Parkrun to achieve the club 250 and has volunteered 35 times and done four locations.
Parkrunners either ran, walked or jogged the 321st Secunda parkrun event on Saturday, October 1, with a total of 199 parkrunners taking part.
First place in the women’s category was Lou-Ann Smit, with Sarah-Ann Francke finishing second and Salomé Jefferies third.
In first place for the men’s category was Reuel Jefferies. Second place was Dirk Van den Heever and in third place was Zedec Jefferies.
16 first-time parkrunners were welcomed to the Secunda Parkrun South Africa family.
They are Nadia Meiring, Siba Sibanyoni, Annika Deetlefs, Sandra Meyer, Neels Zwaan, Ronel Purchase, Wayne Gouws, Suselle Gouws, Luan Vosloo, Markie De Goede, Karen Vosloo, Lizette Joubert, Ruben Grobler, Alexa Botha, Charlize Ehlers and Veronique Hall.

Piet Nieuwenhuis was congratulated on joining Club 100 at the age of 77 years. He is the second eldest male parkrunner.
Leopold Middelberg is the eldest man at the age of 82 years. Johanna van Tonder is the eldest woman at the age of 77 years.
The parkrunner with the most parkruns in the bag is Johann Reyneke who has done 253 parkruns.
The following 19 parkrunners improved their times: Reuel Jefferies (18:58), Zedec Jefferies (21:18), Hendrico Willem Meyer (23:45), JP Dumas (24:53), Sarah-Ann Francke (25:23), Kaamil-Inaam Naicker (26:58), Anelia Fourie (34:55), Reynardt Schoonwinkel (36:41), Andriëtte Viljoen (37:46), Wisani Shilenge (40:11), Lonell van der Berg (44:19), Louis Conradie (44:27), Eileen Walters-Gerout (49:29), Colleen Diergaardt (50:05), Maryna Lombard (51:43), Sharon Nel (51:56), Marinda du Toit (54:05), Bronwyn Ferreira (54:59) and Marilyn Lynette Germishuys (54:59).
The men’s record is held by Brand du Plessis who recorded a time of 16:01 on February 6, 2016, at event number 68.
