eMba and Standerton face off in T20

They scored a whopping 169 runs for six wickets in their 20 overs against the Bethal Bears’ 74 runs for 10 wickets in 18.2 overs.

eMBALENHLE – Standerton Cricket Club’s first team and Sasol eMbalenhle faced off in the premier league T20 matches on Saturday, October 22.

Standerton chased eMbalenhle’s 118 runs for 10 wickets in their first bout played in eMbalenhle on Saturday, October 22.

They exceeded their target with a score of 121 for four wickets in 19.2 overs, winning the match with six wickets.

Opening batsman Ricus van der Hoven stayed in the game throughout, scoring a solid 50 runs off 55 balls, not out.

His partnership with André Schwab paid off as Schwab also top-scored for Standerton with 41 runs off 35 balls.
Schwab was run out by eMba’s Bongani Molefe.

Molefe also took out Quintin Kruger with the second ball.

eMba turned the scales in the second match by knocking Standerton down with 135/4 from 15 overs. The overs were reduced to 15 per side.

Standerton scored 64/9 in 10 overs.
