The ‘Jet’ hits hole-in-one at Walker Park Golf Club in Evander

EVANDER – Alfred ‘Jet’ Mabogoane made a hole-in-one on hole 15 at Walker Park Golf Club on Sunday, November 6.

Mabogoane is a member of the Greenside Colliery Golf Club and was competing in the scratch league semi-final.

“This is such a great day in my 60-odd years. I have only ever dreamt of such a moment but never thought it could happen, especially at my age,” he said.

The scratch league teams played their hearts out.

After 36 holes, ended with Greenside on a 7½ – 4½ win against Witbank.

Walker Park’s management congratulated Greenside on the well-played round.
