Accident at Charlie 5 traffic lights involving two vehicles

One of the drivers lost control of his vehicle after a bakkie allegedly nicked the side of his VW Polo.

Secunda – Emergency services attended to an accident scene between the Charlie 5 traffic lights and the entrance of Charlie 5 at around 5:45 this morning, July 12 involving two vehicles.

According to our sources who were on the scene it would appear that a bakkie nicked the side of a VW Polo, who lost control of his vehicle and went down the embankment coming to a standstill on its side.

The driver was taken to hospital by ER24 with injuries unknown at this stage.

GTR/MCR was on the scene to recover the vehicle.
