Cricket Breed wins the Sasol M-Tool Six-A-Side tournament in Secunda

Strokes finished second in the tournament.

Cricket Breed won the Sasol M-Tool Six-A-Side tournament that was held at the Sasol Secunda Cricket Club on September 30.

Strokes finished second in the tournament and eMba and the Fatties and Moanies team fought for the third and fourth places respectively.

The Bethal Bears and the Standerton Super Kings fought for the fifth and sixth place and the Bears won the match.

The eight teams who took part in the tournament were divided into two pools and Fatties and Moanies lost against the winners of pool B, the Cricket Breed, and in the second semi-finals, the Strokes beat eMba.

After the pool rounds, Kinross and Bethal Old Boys played out for the seventh place which Kinross won.

Dewald Erasmus from Strokes won the batsmen of the day award with 144 runs and Dylan Niemand of Fatties and Moanies won the award for the fieldsman of the day.

Colin van Staden from Cricket Breed won MVP of the day. This was the fourth Sasol M-Tool tournament that the Sasol Secunda Cricket Club hosted.

The spokesperson, Ignus Koekemoer, thanked all their sponsors, including M-Tool, Eye Game Optometrists,  Sapphire Productions and Life Cosmos Hospital.
