Trichardt businessmen fight
A 30-year-old business owner was shot in his foot outside his shop in Ruth First Street on March 29.
A recent altercation between two businessmen from Trichardt led to one being shot and the other appearing in court.
A 30-year-old business owner was shot in his foot outside his shop in Ruth First Street on March 29. He was taken to Mediclinic Highveld.
This comes after a fight erupted with another business owner. The two men began hitting and kicking one another.
Bystanders tried to break up the fight to no avail. It led to one man taking out his gun and shooting the other in the foot.
Trichardt Police are investigating the matter. The shooter appeared in court, but the case has been temporarily struck off the court roll until investigations are complete.
The family of the wounded businessman was unable to tell the Ridge Times what the fight was about.
