GMM mayor gets list of service delivery demands
Among their demands were a water network installation in the Marikana Section, residential stands, fast-tracking and completing RDP houses in Exts 21 and 25, toilets and electricity supplied by Eskom.
Kinross residents marched to the Govan Mbeki Municipality (GMM) offices and gave Mayor Nhlakanipho Zuma their service delivery demands memorandum on April 26.
Among their demands were a water network installation in the Marikana Section, residential stands, fast-tracking and completing RDP houses in Exts 21 and 25, toilets and electricity supplied by Eskom directly.
The residents also want the GMM to stop installing electricity smart meters in households because they consume too much electricity.
They further demand a community hall, a clinic or mobile clinic, a shopping complex, parks and sports centres, boreholes and electricity for farm schools.
They gave Zuma seven days to respond to their grievances.
