Nurses in Trichardt get recognition for hard work

Mediclinic Highveld celebrate with personnel.

Mediclinic Highveld gave recognition to their nurses and acknowledged the vital role they play at hospitals and in the community.

The nurses and hospital staff celebrated International Nurses Day at the hospital on May 10. Several nurses received awards for their contribution to deliver the best possible care to their patients.

Sphiwe Mahlalela, patient experience manager at Mediclinic Highveld, said it is on the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birthday, on May 12, that the Mediclinic team decided to take time out to recognise their nurses’ healing hands.

As part of this focus, Mediclinic has introduced the Daisy Awards, an international foundation that involves patients, their families and the community in a nomination process, and allows each hospital to recognise those nurses who go above and beyond in caring for their patients.

On behalf of Mediclinic Highveld, Mahlalela thanked their nursing teams for their outstanding demonstration of expertise and care.
