Armed steel thief on the loose in Standerton
The Kasselman Security Services control room believes this criminal will probably strike again.
An off-duty Kasselman Security Services reaction officer was alerted to a burglary in progress at Rula Bulk on Vry Street late in the evening of August 2.
The suspect broke into a workshop used to store steel.
When the reaction officer arrived at the scene, the suspect had fled with stolen goods but dropped them shortly after.
Guards from the water tower saw the suspect and took off after him. According to these guards, the suspect fired five rounds.
The suspect took off towards Cofco, and the guards and reaction team lost sight of him. Between them, they recovered the stolen steel.
There were no reports of injuries. The Kasselman Security Services control room believes this criminal will probably strike again.
