Trial of alleged serial killer from eMbalenhle to resume in October

Themba Shongwe will again appear in court on October 28 and 29.

The Secunda Regional Court postponed alleged serial rapist and killer Themba Shongwe’s case on September 20.

The matter will resume on October 28 and 29.

The postponement happened because a defence lawyer and two independent accessors were unavailable.

Shongwe stands accused of raping and killing eMbalenhle girls between 2016 and 2018.

The murdered girls are Cynthia Masilela, Mihle Zingamo (14) and cousins Nokulunga Nkutha (13) and Lerato Nkutha (11).
