The team was also awarded a trophy as the champions after defeating Johannesburg Netball in the final.

“I am so delighted that we were represented as a club. With the skills that we have learnt we plan to teach some of that to our home teams.

“The aim was to learn and give back to others to get ready for the upcoming championships in coming years,” said Mahlangu.

“I was able to witness so much talent from different teams and players from all over. Sport speaks a language that everyone can understand and bring people from all spheres of life together in unity.

“Champions do not become champions when they win a tournament, but through minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years preparing for it,” Mahlangu added.

Mahlangu thanked their sponsor, TRACN4 toll road.

“Without their support, we would financially not have been able to afford participation in the nationals,” Mahlangu concluded.
