DCS rehabilitates Mahala Park sports grounds in Standerton
The DCS donated balls, cones, soccer goalposts and mobile netball poles.
The Department of Correctional Services (DCS) continues to lend a helping hand to the community.
They recently partnered with the Department of Culture, Sports and Recreation (DCSR) to assist the community of Standerton.
A team was assembled in Ward 3 on October 10 to rehabilitate the Mahala Park sports grounds.
The ground was levelled to ensure the safety of the players. The DCS donated balls, cones, soccer goalposts and mobile netball poles.
The soccer goalposts were manufactured by DCS.
“These projects are directed at communities to show that the DCS has the community’s best interests at heart.”
