More than 60 support parkrun in Standerton

The participants who set personal best times are Thabo Tsotetsi (21:32), Ayanda Dlamini (25:59), Pieter Jansen van Vuuren (28:23), Jose Joseph (29:41), Danie Laufs (49:30), Charmain Kleynhans (50:26) and Elize Gill (55:49).

The Standerton parkrun boasts seven participants who set new personal best times on Saturday. They are Thabo Tsotetsi (21:32), Ayanda Dlamini (25:59), Pieter Jansen van Vuuren (28:23), Jose Joseph (29:41), Danie Laufs (49:30), Charmain Kleynhans (50:26) and Elize Gill (55:49).

The parkrun lured 67 participants this week to join the celebration of one million South African participants in the parkrun.

Tsotetsi was also the first runner home at the Standerton parkrun, followed by Eugene Viljoen (25:07), Dlamini, Pieter Grobbelaar (26:32), and Andiswamahlubi Hadebe (27:54).

Pieter Jansen van Vuuren completed the route at 28:23, Rodrique van der Voort at 28:37 and Jyoti Daya at 29:06.

The volunteers who made this parkrun possible, were Renette de Sousa, Lizette Jansen van Rensburg, Séan Jansen van Rensburg, Cathrine le Roux, Gerhardus le Roux, Sylvy Moodley, Jennifer Naidoo, Strini Naidoo, Charl van Wyk, Leandri van Wyk, Frans Vermaak, Ruwan Vermaak, Johannes Vosloo and Noluthando Zweni.
