Accused cop shooter from eMbalenhle to return to court next year

The Evander Magistrate’s Court postponed Sifiso Nkosi’s (35) bail application to January 16 on November 21.

Nkosi faces murder and attempted murder charges after a shooting in Ext 8, eMbalenhle, on the night of November 13.

The eMbalenhle police and emergency medical personnel found two seriously wounded victims next to a vehicle.

The wounded man succumbed to his injuries in hospital on November 14, while the woman, a SAPS constable (32) stationed at eMbalenhle, was rushed to hospital.

Nkosi was apprehended between Potchefstroom and Ventersdorp during a large-scale manhunt.

The constable is recovering in the hospital.
