Bronkies’ Nolithando hopes to wear the Mrs SA crown

“I want to use the platform to celebrate the strength, resilience and multifaceted nature of all women.”

Nolithando Skosana made her way to the 2025 Mrs SA when she was sashed as one of 94 semi-finalists in Menlyn, Pretoria, during January.

Skosana lives in Pretoria but spent her primary and high school years in Bronkhorstspruit. After matric, Skosana completed her undergraduate degree in education.

“Thereafter I advanced to my postgraduate qualification in educational psychology,” said Nolithando.

According to Skosana, she is a dedicated primary school teacher by profession.

“I have been teaching for six years now. I always tell my learners that they need to reach for their goals, so me being a semi-finalist means a great deal to them too.”

Skosana is married with a one-year-old.

“I decided to enter the pageant because, unlike other pageants, Mrs South Africa celebrates married women,” said Skosana.

“When I was sashed at our national casting, I was beyond thrilled and excited,” Skosana told Streeknews.

“I want to use the platform to celebrate the strength, resilience and multifaceted nature of all women.”

Nolithando said that as a wellness advocate, she plans to launch ‘HealHer’-conversations.

“This is a platform that will foster conversations about the holistic well-being of all women, young girls included.

“With the rise of mental health issues and GBV prevalent in our country, I see a great need to find mechanisms to aid our well-being,” Skosana added.

The 30 Mrs SA finalists will be revealed on July 4 at Emperors Palace and the crowing of Mrs SA is set to take place on November 4.
