A man was shot dead in the passenger seat of a vehicle on the pavement in front of his offices in Pringle Street.

The drive-by shooting happened at about 10:45 today, April 2.

The area is still an active crime scene, and police are currently investigating.

What the Ridge Times do know is that a message was posted on a neighbourhood group of a red/maroon vehicle with no number plates driving up and down Pringle Street at around 10.00 this morning.

Not long after, neighbours were alarmed by several shots that were fired.

The Ridge Time obtained a video of the suspected vehicle used in the shooting. The video has been removed from our site on request of the resident whose CCTV recorded it.

Details of the man are known, however, this is a developing story, and the man’s identity could not be confirmed by SAPS at this time.
