SAPS’ Safer Easter Operation pays dividends in Cullinan area
The operation ensured the safety and security of SA citizens.
The Cullinan SAPS and members from various units held a Safer Easter Operation. The TMPD, traffic wardens, health inspectors and a local security company held the operation on the March 28 to 30 weekend.
“The operation focused particularly on recovering illegal firearms and drugs around Rayton, Cullinan and Refilwe and aimed to ensure the safety and security of SA citizens and their properties, ” said Sergeant Connie Moganedi, the Cullinan SAPS communications officer.
The police searched motorists, pedestrians and several houses, one of which the SAPS suspected was a drug lord’s residence.
They seized various drugs and a firearm and arrested multiple suspects, including illegal immigrants. The police confirmed that the suspects would appear in the Cullinan Magistrate’s Court.
