Tyler Brown attempts the Slay The Beast Burger Challenge in Secunda
The 1kg burger comprised four tiers of meat, cheese, bacon, onions, egg and more.
Social media eating sensation Tyler Brown (27) tackled the Slay The Beast Burger Challenge at Madison’s Restaurant at the Graceland Hotel, Casino and Country Club on April 26.
The challenge was set at 10 minutes, and he had to devour a 1kg burger, 500g of chips and a milkshake or draught beer.
The 1kg burger comprised four tiers of meat, cheese, bacon, onions, egg and more. Brown completed the challenge in 18 minutes. Nine guests also could not finish their plates in the set time and opted for a doggie bag.
The challenge is ongoing at Madison’s. If you finish the Slay The Beast Burger Challenge in the set time, you get your meal free and a T-shirt. The cost if you don’t finish is R265.
Make sure to book your table and try the Slay the Beast Burger. Because he is a fast eater, Brown always wanted to “try his hand” at eating challenges.

“In 2017, my cousin tagged me in a Facebook post where you must eat 2kg of ribs in the fastest time. The prize was R1 000,” Brown said.
Brown won and finished the 2kg ribs in 6.20 minutes. His record is 2.2kg of ribs in 5 minutes. Brown has done around 50 challenges.
“I will never stop a challenge,” Brown said.
Challenge eating runs in the family genes. His father, Lance, won the 1990 Steers Burger eating challenge and is his son’s coach.
Brown does stomach stretches to help the stomach expand before a challenge. You can follow him on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
