Dewald Bekker completed his 300th parkrun at the 238th Bronkhorstspruit parkrun on May 10. Bekker was also the first finisher at the event, completing the 5km route at 23:19.
Ruan van Zyl (25:04) finished shortly thereafter, followed by Regardt Swanepoel (26:57), Amanda Kritzinger (27:01), Ray M (27:36), Cornelia Geyser (28:11), Graham Deverell (29:42), Leon Ludwig (33:52),
Riaan Meyer (36:32) and Monica-Celeste Louise Rumboll (36:52) also improved their best times. The other parkrunner who set a new time was Thomas Gultig, who enjoyed a time of 57:16.
The volunteers who made the event possible were Dewald Bekker, Andre de Lange, Catharina Els, Cornelia Geyser, Gonasagree Govender, Emma Koekemoer, Erhard Kruger, Jaco Pretorius, Bhavna Rampersadh, Despina Rockas, Filia Rockas and Adri van Wyk.
The Bronkhorstspruit parkrun is every Saturday at 08:00 at the Ubhule Christian School on the Bronkhorstbaai Road.
