Evander High School’s dance group perform in fundraiser

The purpose was to create a fundraising programme for dancers competing in the Mpumalanga Dance Talent Modelling Association.

A round of applause and a standing ovation go to the Evander High School (EHS) Dance Group, which hosted its first dance concert in over a decade at EHS on April 28.

Dancers performed their styles in 15 songs, and the theme was ‘Becoming a Rising Star’, which creates awareness around bullying.

The purpose was to create a fundraising programme for dancers competing in the Mpumalanga Dance Talent Modelling Association.

The school invited rapper Prince Maseko and the Khanyisa Ballroom Dance Club, one of Mpumalanga’s top ballroom clubs.

Visionary Dance Schools’ coaches Cisco Matchaya, Calvin Mahlangu, Delight Motswane and Asanda Khumalo created the production and wrote the play.
