67 Blankets team from Standerton celebrates Mother’s Day

The Knitwitts currently have their most colourful project yet, crocheting over 300 small blocks to form one blanket.

The Knitwitts of the 67 Blankets for Mandela Day Standerton branch celebrated Mother’s Day on May 10.

They brought their crochet projects to the Wimpy, where they enjoyed a muffin or toasted sandwich with a steaming coffee.

They sat and chatted the morning away, laughing, crocheting and making life-long memories.

The Knitwitts currently have their most colourful project yet, crocheting over 300 small blocks to form one blanket.

According to Sangeeta Daya, the ambassador for the branch, this was no easy feat, but the women made good progress in the company of their fellow knitwitts.

The ladies handed in several completed blankets and completed dozens of small blocks for their latest project.
