Secunda gymnasts excel at competition in Benoni
Many finish first, second or third in Benoni comptetition.
Gymnasts from Secunda Gymnastics Club delivered impressive performances at the Eagles competition held in Benoni on June 6 and 7.
In the U6 category, Felisa Kutama took first place on the floor, second on the bench, and second on the trampoline.
Milan Reddy placed third on the bench and secured two fourth places on the trampoline and floor. Abigail Singh came fifth on the bench and sixth on both the trampoline and floor.
In the Level 1 U7 category, Anke Strydom claimed first place on both the bench and trampoline. In the U8 category, Ellie Nienaber-Kozma finished second on the bench and trampoline and third on the floor.
Imke le Roux followed with a fourth place on the bench and sixth on the trampoline.
In Level 2 U9, Danielle Fember excelled by winning both the trampoline and floor events, while Elri de Beer finished third on the trampoline and fifth on the floor.

In Level 2 U10, Lesego Sehunwe secured fifth place on the bench, and in Level 2 U11, Mia Gorbler earned second place on the trampoline.
In the U15 category, Christelize Erasmus won both the bench and trampoline events and came sixth on the floor. In Level 3 U8, Kristine Pienaar took first on the bench, second on the trampoline, and third on the floor. Saoirse O’Dwyer finished fourth overall.
Among the boys in the U9 category, Koos Crause achieved a clean sweep, winning the bench, trampoline, and floor events. Jordan Singh also impressed, finishing first on the floor and trampoline and second on the bench.
In Level 4 U11, Shiloh Holloway came third on the trampoline and floor and fourth on the bench. In the U8 category, Jane du Preez won the trampoline, placed second on the bench, and floor.
Level 5 U9, Jethro Holloway dominated, finishing first across all three events: bench, floor, and trampoline.
Xander Mellet also earned first place on the floor and fifth on the trampoline. Amil Obermeyer took third on the floor, and Christie van der Merwe placed first on the floor.
