Lekwa Local Municipality gives attention to road markings

Municipal workers tackled painting road markings.

The Lekwa Local Municipality (LLM) was busy this past week. Armed with paint and paint brushes, they flooded Princess Street on July 1 to restore the faded road markings.

According to Lubabalo Majenge, the LLM communications officer, the work done on this date is part of the ongoing road maintenance programme.

“Our efforts to better our roads will be intensified in the 2025/26 financial year,” said Majenge.

Outrage followed as the community aptly pointed out that there is still much work to be done in Lekwa because Beyers Naude and Kerk streets, and many others, remain unmarked.
