Philisa Drop-In Centre in eMzinoni gets a new coat of paint for Mandela Day

The Gert Sibande District Men for Change and Women’s Network, with various stakeholders and businesses, painted the Philisa Drop-in Centre in commemoration of Nelson Mandela Day.

In honour of Nelson Mandela International Day on July 18, members of the Gert Sibande District Men for Change and Women’s Network, together with Bethal SAPS Men for Change, eMzinoni SAPS, the Department of Correctional Services, and several local businesses and stakeholders, took part in revamping and painting the Philisa Drop-In Centre in eMzinoni.

Sergeant Thomas Mogadime, deputy chairperson of Mpumalanga Provincial Men for Change, said the project aimed to create a space that feels beautiful and welcoming for everyone who uses the facility.

Quoting Nelson Mandela, Mogadime said: “What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”
