Repair centre opens in Standerton, connects with community

Lekwa Collision Repair celebrated its opening with a lively event attended by over 80 local stakeholders.

Lekwa Collision Repair (LCR) has officially opened its doors after a festive grand opening attended by many role players and over 80 people, including local giants such as representatives from Early Bird, Trendline, Afgri, PG Glass, Kasselman Security Services and many more.

The night grew long when the LCR family connected with members of the Standerton community. Owner Nico Higgs said he decided to open a new business for the 30th anniversary of Modern Collision Repair (MCR).

“We told him he needed to throw a birthday party, so he opened a business instead,” joked Annemarie Third, Higgs’ daughter and financial manager at MCR.

LCR is a collision repair centre that fixes cars after accidents. They can also tow cars from accident scenes. According to Third, the opening was a success.

“We enjoyed getting to know the community and meeting the people we will work closely with,” said Third.

The LCR family is excited to start this new journey and be the Lekwa difference.
