Police in Val need help in identifying a young man, possibly a teenager, who was found dead near the railway road on August 3.

A passerby found the body in the grass near the road at about 16:00 that afternoon.

According to Sergeant Thulisile Magagula, the young man wearing navy Sasol overall trousers and a black and maroon jersey at the time of his death. He also had an abrasion on his face.

An inquest docket has since been opened.
