Hansie Annandale and George Naudé emerged as winners of the Heritage Day Golf Competition held at Graceland Hotel, Casino and Country Club on September 24.
The team secured victory with 48 points. Osman Moosa and R. Rasool finished second with 47 points, while Chris Grobler and Len Saldham placed third, also with 47 points. Tommie and Marelize Ries came fourth with 46 points, followed by Neil de Lane and Tanya Nel in fifth place, also on 46 points.
Golfers who succeeded in hitting nearest to the pin were Senzo Shabalala on holes six and 12, Robby Mogashoa on hole nine and Marelize Ries on hole 15. Ries also received recognition as the women’s player who hit the longest drive on hole eight, while George Naudé claimed the men’s longest drive on hole 14.
The organisers thanked everyone who participated and contributed to the success of the day, noting that a total of 56 golfers competed in the event.
