Trichardt CPF closes holes dug by cable thieves

Get involved with CPF and help to fight crime.

Members of the local CPF closed holes on October 6 that were dug in an open field near the train tracks. It is suspected that thieves dug the holes to steal cables again.

Committee member Clark van der Walt urged the community to get involved in the CPF and help fight crime.

“We need the community to help us put specific measures in place to make the town safe,” said Van der Walt.

“The community needs to be our and the police’s eyes and ears. We need more people to patrol Trichardt at night.”

The CPF will soon start cleaning up the area between the train tracks in Trichardt and the industrial area near Albany Bakery in Secunda.

To join the CPF or get involved, contact chairman Christiaan Landman on 084 499 5455.
