Karatekas from Secunda area represent SA at Gaborone International Open Karate Championship

Onthathile Motsoeneng competed in the cadets division and won gold in kata.

Students from the Universal Shotokan Karate Union represented the Karate South Africa development team at the Gaborone International Open Karate Championship, held in Botswana from October 11 to 12.

Onthathile Motsoeneng competed in the cadets division and won gold in kata. Sbongokuhle Mahlangu competed in the children’s division, boys 8 to 9 years, and earned silver in kata and silver in kumite.

Lungile Mavundla received bronze in kumite in the cadets division, boys 12 to 13 years.
