Sasol Secunda Cricket Club dominates T20s

The T20 final is on November 16.

The Sasol Secunda Cricket Club thrived over the past few weeks. Sasol 1 Secunda beat the Sasol 2 Bulldogs in two T20 games on October 25, winning the first by nine wickets.

The player of the match, Willem Seventer, made 67 runs off 20 balls. In the second game, Sasol 1 Secunda won by 61 runs. The player of the match, Dewald Erasmus, scored 76 runs off 50 balls.

With these two victories, Sasol 1 Secunda claimed the Gert Sibande T20 title with two matches to spare. Sasol’s women’s teams tackled the Bethal Bears’ women’s team on October 26, losing both matches.

Sasol 3 Kinross tackled the Delmas women’s cricket team in a T20 match and lost by 33 runs. The Ermelo Warriors 1 beat Sasol 1 Secunda by six runs on November 1.

However, during the second match of the day, Sasol made sure their title was safe and beat Ermelo by four wickets, chasing Ermelo’s target in 13.2 overs.

Sasol 3 Kinross also dominated its match against the Ermelo Warriors 2 in the Promotion T20 competition, winning by seven wickets.

The Sasol women’s team also came back strong against the Mkhondo Eagles on November 2, winning both their T20 matches.
Sasol 1 Secunda will host the Mpumalanga Premier T20 final on November 16.
