Seventy-three players teed off in the Walker Park Golf Club men’s open played on November 9. The A division medal was played over 36 holes, while the B division medal and C division IPS were played over 18 holes.
The open winner was Henco Coetzee with a total gross of 131. The runner-up was Gary Daniel with a total gross of 136.
Vusi Zungu was third with a total of 141 gross.
In the B division, Bafana Bhaba won with 65 gross. Oupa Mvundla was in second place with 66 gross, and RJ Ferreria in third place on 69 gross.
The C division winner was Lihle Mchunu on 41 IPS points. Second place was Kagiso Makoe on 39 IPS points. In third place was William Makopo on 39 IPS points.
Eddi Daniel still holds the course record with 62 points, set 15 years ago.
