56 trudge through muddy parkrun track in Standerton

Tshego Monnye finished with a personal best time of 29:52.

The Standerton Riverpark parkrun held their 324th event on November 15, with 56 runners taking on the muddy 5km route.
Pieter Jansen van Vuuren was the first known finisher, with a time of 22:04.

Basheer Williams was the second known finisher, completing the run with a time of 27:12. Marc Westphal finished with a time of 27:13, followed by Wassie Rossouw (27:38).

Tshego Monnye finished with a personal best time of 29:52. Nasiha Surtee (30:55) and Zelda Keyser (31:39) completed the list of top finishers. Antionette Swart also gained a new PB, finishing in 54:07.

The volunteers who made this event possible, were Lizette Jansen van Rensburg, Séan Jansen van Rensburg, Danie Laufs, Susan Laufs, Sylvy Moodley, Jennifer Naidoo, Marion Jean Robertson, Conrie Roets, Lydia Roets, Nasiha Surtee, Marjorie Uys, Charl van Wyk, Johannes Vosloo, Geroonissa Williams and Daniel Wright.
