Standerton Riverpark parkrunners achieve personal bests
Ayanda Dlamini was one of five runners to achieve a new personal best time (PB). He completed the run in 25:27.
The Standerton Riverpark parkrun celebrated its 326th event on November 29. Forty-one runners gathered to enjoy good company and fitness fun.
Ayanda Dlamini was one of five runners to achieve a new personal best time (PB). He completed the run in 25:27. Mxolisi Dludla achieved a new PB of 26:00, Danie Human completed the track with a new PB of 34:54, Lerato Monareng achieved a new PB of 46:08, and Mishke Timmerman finished with a new PB of 50:37.
The volunteers who made this event possible: Jaco du Plessis, Lizette Jansen van Rensburg, Séan Jansen van Rensburg, Susan Laufs, Catherine le Roux, Marion Jean Robertson, Lydia Roets, Zeldine Strydom, Johannes Vosloo, and Daniel Wright.
The Standerton Riverpark parkrun also celebrated its 325th event on November 22. A total of 71 runners attended, with several wearing tutus to mark the occasion.
Bongane Mpokane finished yet another run ahead of the pack with a time of 17:56. He also celebrated his 50th parkrun. Pieter Jansen van Vuuren was the second known finisher in 20:59, followed by Thabo Patrick Tsotetsi, who completed the course in 21:53.
They were followed by William Abrahams (27:18), Eugene Viljoen (28:03), Zander van der Linde (28:09) and Petra van der Linde (28:11).
Tshego Monnye achieved a new personal best of 29:36. Ellie Canning crossed the finish line in 31:08, and Mxolisi Dludla recorded a new personal best of 31:09.

Parkrun takes place every Saturday at the Standerton Riverpark, with runners setting off at 08:00.
