Golfers play in Evander for charities

Golfers were called off the greens when lightning began, and heavy rain and hail began to fall. The charity event continued once the rain subsided.

Golfers competed in the Walker Park Golf Club charity event played on November 21. Players were called off the greens when the thunder began, followed by a downpour of rain and hail.

However, this did not deter the players who were in full swing once the rain subsided. In first place were Schalk Burger, Henriette Burger, Wihan Burger and C van Vuuren on 64 points.

Arno Spangenberg, Wilna Spangenberg, Jacques Erasmus and Hannes Henderson were in second place on 62 points.

Third were Andre van Heerden, Barney Groenewald, Lukas Potgieter and At Van Jaarsveldt on 58 points.
