Police in eMbalenhle has opened an inquest docket following the discovery of a body of a man floating in the Wellas River on Saturday afternoon (February 14).
According to residents living near the river, the body was spotted floating in the water towards the Wellas footbridge. They suspect the heavy rain might have flushed the body downstream.
The police were informed and the body retrieved.
